Congratulations to the Manoir Manrèse for winning The Quebec Seniors’ Housing Group’s Réalisation de l’année, 100 unités et plus award (Achievement of the year, 100 units or more), representing Cogir’s network of retirement homes with its collectively created comic strip project.

Located in the City of Quebec, the Manoir Manrèse won the award for Réalisation de l’année, 100 unités et plus with its “collectively created comic strip” project. Using tablet computers, a group of residents created an album called “La retraite comme vous ne l’avez jamais vue” (Retirement Like You’ve Never Seen Before). This endeavour allowed them to highlight their experience and their current reality.

For seven consecutive years, the QSHG has been awarding prizes to retirement homes in recognition of their unique contribution to the enhancement of their residents’ quality of life. This major announcement was made during the November 7, 2019 gala of QSHG’s annual convention which took place at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac from November 6 to November 8, 2019. Over 400 guests paid tribute to three retirement homes and to an exceptional entrepreneur.
