Place Portobello, located at the intersection of Highway 10 and Taschereau Boulevard in Brossard on Montreal’s South Shore, is a community shopping centre. The centre was built in 1965 and underwent expansion work in 1966, 1973, 1974, 1987, 1990 and 1991. It has a total rentable space of 400,551 square feet, of which 29,684 sq. ft. are office space on the second floor. There are numerous tenants such as Zellers, Maxi, Linen Chest, Ardène and Jean-Coutu.

Between 1996 and 1998, the vocation of the centre changed from simply a community shopping centre to a destination/community shopping centre.

The total area of the site is 1,743,692 sq. ft., and includes a 108,000-sq.-ft. Réno-Dépôt that was built in 1992 on the southern portion of the site. An Ultramar service station is located in the eastern portion of the parking lot.

As a result of its many destination tenants and its excellent location, Place Portobello has strong sales that continue to increase.
