PRESENTING THE ZORA SOLUTION THE FIRST ROBOT FOR PRIVATE RETIREMENT HOME USE
Today, May 2, 2019, marked the presentation of the Zora solution, the very first humanoid robot to be used in a Canadian private retirement home.
With its keen desire to excel and provide innovative solutions which will allow its residents to remain continuously stimulated and entertained, Maison Louise-Élisabeth, a Cogir Real Estate private retirement home, takes great pride in having acquired the Zora Robot. “It was quite a bold concept to bring a robot into the home, but the positive feedback from the residents proved to us that we were right in carrying out this beautiful project. As a matter of fact, we noticed the benefits of using this humanoid robot as soon as Zora began interacting with the residents,” says Mathieu Duguay, Cogir Real Estate’s President and Chief executive officer, “Zora has many talents; she can sing, dance the flamenco, do gymnastics and yoga and interact with people. In short, she has everything she needs to break through the isolation and stimulate people in a different way,” adds Mr. Duguay.
The robot has truly managed to touch the seniors and the interaction between Zora and the residents shows that technology can lead to emotions. Over the next few weeks, Zora will visit the Cogir group’s retirement homes and will join seniors in the course of various activities and events.
