The Villa St-Georges supports school learning with a $2500 donation to École Le Manège in Victoriaville
On November 29, the official cheque for the money raised from the sixth “Walk for Knowledge” to support students’ academic success and stimulate physical activity among seniors was attended by Ms. Mylène Cloutier, Vice-President of Operations at Villa St-Georges, Ms. France Vincent, Assistant Manager of the Villa St-Georges, Ms. Émilie Lévesque, Manager of Recreation Services at the residence, Mr. Jean Trudel, Regional Manager for Cogir Real Estate, Ms. Martine Ouellette, Principal of Le Manège primary school in Victoriaville, as well as students from the school and residents from the Villa St-Georges.
In Cogir Real Estate’s network of private retirement homes, Villa St-Georges stands out through its exemplary community involvement. For the event, residents shared a trove of intergenerational activities with students at the school. The private retirement home therefore received $2,000 from Cogir Real Estate, as it had the highest number of intergenerational activities held as part of the “Walk for Knowledge.” Overall, $2,500 went to École Le Manège for the purchase of school supplies and restorations to the school library.
